Changing the way we learn and teach...
From terrible injustices, to books on learning this year's Learning Region line-up is sure to provoke your teaching!
Author Ulrich Boser says "how we learn can matter just as much as what we learn". In upcoming Teacher Talks and workshops like Integrating Like Creative and Critical Thinking into Your Course and Classroom Management Strategies you will discover more about how we could be learning. As MIT's Mitchel Resnick says, for example, by "collaborating through remixing, crowdsourcing, and large-scale group projects" students can learn to think and act creatively.
The Learning Region is a collaboration of Community Colleges of Spokane, College of the Rockies, and the Applied Innovation Research Centre and Teaching and Learning Institute at Selkirk College.
