Upwards of 40% of Canadians suffer significant symptoms of insomnia. In addition to the familiar symptoms of tiredness and low energy, people suffering from insomnia have double the risk of depression, double the risk of anxiety and 7 times the risk of substance misuse. Fortunately, behavioural strategies are highly effective in helping us to sleep well.
