“Addressing the global issue of missing persons: the work of the International Commission on Missing Persons”
The global issue of missing persons is complex. In order to conclusively identify the missing, consideration to political, societal and scientific challenges are required. Resolving the fate of the missing helps families achieve closure, establishes the truth surrounding their disappearance, and can be used to seek justice. This presentation will briefly introduce the global issue of missing persons with primary focus on the work of the ICMP.
The ICMP is an International Organization whose sole purpose is to address the global issue of missing persons at the technical, legal, societal, policy and cooperation levels.
