This delicious, traditional Guatemalan dinner will take place on Friday, March 2 at the St. Rita's Church in downtown Castlegar. Doors will be opening at 5:30 p.m., and the event will begin at 6 p.m. This event is in support of a group of fourteen third-year nursing students who will be traveling to Guatemala for a practice experience in May, 2018.
In addition to a delicious, authentic Guatemalan feast, this event will also host a silent auction. Furthermore, a group of fourth-year nursing students will be in attendance to present a slideshow and documentary displaying their experience in Guatemala in the Spring of 2017. In addition, these fourth-year students will answer any questions that attendees have regarding their experience last year.
Cost is $15 at the door. Children are welcome!
"An abundance of community support has been an instrumental contributor in making this international practice experience a reality, and we as students extend our gratitude to the local businesses, organizations, and residents involved. We look forward to seeing the community turn out for this fun family event!"
